9 July - 7 August 2022, Virtual - Congratulations to the winners of the Circular Innovation Challenge 2022, ThrillionX Team for winning 100,000 Thai Baht Circular Economy & Social Innovation Prize and GAMA FUTURE Team for winning 100,000 Thai Baht Water, Sanitation & Hygiene Prize.
In collaboration with Indorama Ventures, School of Global Studies at Thammasat University, SDG Lab, UNDP and UNICEF, SEAMEO SEPS and partners held the Circular Innovation Challenge 2022 during July 9 to August 7, 2022 that had 262 teams from 6 ASEAN countries joined – Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Participants aged from 16-30 joined the challenge to ideate circular economy solutions to pressing problems of sustainability. The Circular Innovation Challenge 2022 is a ‘hackathon’ or ‘design sprint’ that aims to help young people become the thought leaders and change-makers of tomorrow.

The final pitching of the 10 finalist teams, on August 7, from 9.00-11.30 (ICT). Two winners will receive 100,000 Thai Baht each, across two themes – Circular Economy & Social Innovation, and Water, Sanitation & Hygiene. The panellists and judges were Harsha Reddy (Indorama Ventures), Sukich Udindu (SEAMEO SEPS), Allison Morris (UNICEF), Brooke Yamakoshi (UNICEF), Aphinya Siranart (UNDP), Kesrat Sukasam (UNDP), Quentin Frécon (Schoolab), and Shweta Sinha (Thammasat University).
