On 6 October 2023, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for Sustainability (SEAMEO SEPS), in collaboration with the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts (SEAMEO SPAFA), broadcast the second webinar in its SEP - SDGs in Action: Virtual Learning Series, with a webinar on the topic “SDGs, Climate Action and Culture”.
The webinar explored the relationship between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate action, and culture; it discussed ways to motivate young people as potential change agents to drive positive action and make meaningful changes; and looked at the development of a toolkit for living with water heritage and risks. These topics generated lively discussion among speakers and participants on the role that culture plays in raising awareness, promoting sustainable behavior and strengthening resilience to climate change.

Ms. Duriya Amatavivat, Centre Director of SEAMEO SEPS, welcomed participants to the webinar, which was broadcast live on SEAMEO SPAFA’s YouTube channel. The webinar was joined live by 200 participants and had received 1,200 views as of 9 October 2023.
